When you see yourself being educated every moment of life, you are a lifelong learner. I am a lifelong learner. I believe in learning and growing with every moment of life. Give a different perspective to every situation, whether right or wrong but just think, Analyze. How is life revolving and evolving minute by minute. Every person in your life leaves an impact on you, whether for good or not. How we take that learning and give a direction to life depends on us. What we make out of it. Who gets affected with that. We need to think and be watchful of the repercussions of our actions and words we speak. Is this not a part of education? Does education only mean that you read books that you are not interested in? Does that only relate to cramming up some formulae which makes no sense and equate some numbers to them to find the correct answer without actually understanding the logic behind it.
Everything we think of and do is logically driven. This is why the coders want to infuse logic into machines so that the machines can think too. But what logic fits you the best does not fit me. This is how the lawyers argue. This is how the doctors decide the line of treatment. This is how we decide our diet chart.
Is it healthy to find logic in everything?
Yes, indeed. You should look at every step of life, every decision you make in life with logic. All the possible permutations and combinations need to be evaluated.
But, not always. Not at every miniscule of life. Not at every juncture of life. Sometime you just have to let go of things and people to have peace of mind. And thus logic, philosophy and psychology have a very strong interconnection. When to apply logic and when not to, depends on our wisdom. This wisdom comes with experience, keen observation. All this is a part of education though.
Education does not only mean understanding logic and thinking critically. You also need to be educated to have a good sense of humour. To enjoy humour you have to let go of the logic behind it. Sometimes humour comes out of your real life situations and sometimes it is crafted. And to understand humour you need to be open minded. To be open minded you need to let go of critical thinking.
Is this enough of what is education? Not yet.
